These SPW wheels are specially designed to remove surface paint and surface rust, without removing ANY of the underlying metal. They should be used when you have thin metal, or don't want any damage done.

Like the Clean & Strip, these wheels have rules. First, you NEVER push. Barely touch the area. The wheels are designed to powder the paint and blow it away. If you push, the wheels will wear out up to 6 times faster, and they won't work as well. Pushing creates heat and that melts and loads the disk. Second, avoid sharp edges. The wheels are soft and will come apart if caught.

The gray wheels are made of silicon carbide, and are for stainless and aluminum. The maroon wheels are aluminum oxide, and are for almost everything else.

The wheels were originally made for angle grinders (4, 4 ½, and 7), but we had them made as rolocs in 2 and 3 for die grinders.
